What it does

A signature facial is a cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration treatment performed by Bailey Cerullo. She starts by looking at your skin and asking what your routine currently is, then chooses the products for that day rather than working from a fixed script. A double cleanse comes first, then a gentle exfoliation, then extractions where they are needed and where the skin will allow them. Steam or warm towels soften the skin beforehand. A mask sits for several minutes while she works on the neck, shoulders, and hands.

Serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen finish the appointment. Nothing in a signature facial is aggressive, and you can go back to work afterward. Bailey will tell you what she noticed about your skin and what she would change at home, and she will say when something sits outside what a facial can address and is worth raising with Irene. Facials are often booked every four to six weeks, and they sit alongside the other treatments on this list rather than replacing any of them.

Who it suits

  • Wanting a treatment with nothing to plan around afterward
  • Maintenance between peels, needling, or laser appointments
  • Congestion and blackheads that need extraction by hand
  • Wanting a second opinion on the routine you use at home

During the appointment

Bailey looks at your skin and asks what you are using at home.

A double cleanse and a gentle exfoliation come first.

Steam or warm towels soften the skin, and extractions are done where they are needed.

A mask sits for several minutes while she works on the neck, shoulders, and hands.

Serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen finish, and she tells you what she noticed.

Downtime and aftercare

None.

  • There is nothing to plan around, so makeup and work are both fine the same day.
  • Pause actives at home for the rest of the day and keep it simple.
  • Sunscreen daily, as always.
  • Facials are often booked every four to six weeks.

How long it lasts

The settled look typically holds for a few weeks and is kept up with regular appointments; it varies by person.

This may not be right for you if

  • There is an active skin infection or a cold sore in the area
  • You have had a peel, needling, or a laser treatment in the last two weeks
  • You have used certain prescription skin medications recently
  • You are pregnant or nursing, in which case some products are swapped or left out
  • What you are hoping for is more than a facial can address

Irene decides candidacy at your consultation.
